After the release of Solitary Confinement in 2006, Zeo (previously known as Z.O.), assumed that labels and chart success would just come to him. He achieved some success in getting national radio play and regular rotation on club DJs’ playlists throughout the UK. However, when his expectations were not met, he felt that music must not be for him and decided to return to full-time education, whilst working on other projects (i.e. Bodman fashion label). Artists often get discouraged and ‘fall by the wayside’ after disappointment, however, Zeo was not prepared to allow his time out to rip out any pages of his next chapter. He has simply taken matters into his own hands and decided to go down the independent route. This decision has allowed Zeo to see the benefits of all his hard work, whether it be working on a personal project, or producing beats for other acts. He has the creative control and power to see things through and pan out his career as he sees fit.

Zeo has worked with countless artists and producers such as DJ Q (BBC Radio 1xtra), Burgaboy, MC Trilla, Stayfresh, Bassboy and TRC to name a few. The MC from Wolverhampton has further proved that he is an artist with a multi-dimensional talent. He has also added producing beats and editing his own music videos to his ever-growing resume. He has had 2 songs featured on the Ministry Of Sound ‘The Sound Of Bassline 2′, which is on sale in major stores such as HMV and on Play.com and iTunes. Zeo has accumulated over 350,000 combined YouTube views, including the music video of his smash hit ‘Badboy Tunes’, produced by TRC, and his appearance on Tim Westwood’s ‘Crib Sessions’. After having appeared on an episode of the BBC 2 TV series ‘No Hats No Trainers’, he has been touring all over the UK performing, whilst featuring on mixtapes of other acts and recording for his next mixtape, ‘Solitary Confinement 2′.

2011 will prove to be a very exciting and interesting year for the unique and imaginative rapper. The Midlands best-kept secret is finally out. Another chapter in the book of Zeo has been written, and this time, it’s more than recording another mixtape. Zeo says, “My plan is to stay consistent with the quality material I have to show the fans and public. And for the haters, I want to show them too that I will succeed no matter what. I would love to perform on the biggest stages and become a pioneer within the Midlands urban music scene.”
